Kunstbende is a creative non-profit organization that holds competitions (in different creative catogories) every year. This year I won 2nd place in the category Expo at Kunstbende with my exhibit ‘Core Memories’.

This exhibit follows my favorite (core) memories of my gap year.

Core Memories

Core memories is a very special exhibition to me. It highlights my favorite memories of my gap year. I spent my time travelling & working. Instead of my gap year being a way for me to get travelling 'out of my system', it only sparked a fire in my of a passion I didn't know I had.

These artworks painted with gouache and acrylics capture the nostalgic and joyful feeling I feel towards this season of my life.

Mangoes in Hilo and Deep Seas are both inspired by my time au-pairing in Hawaii. I met lifelong friends here.

Montmatre is a painting inspired by the streets of Paris, where I spent a weekend exploring with my best friend.

De Bakker is a painting of the cutest little cafe on Terschelling, a Dutch Island. I spent two and a half weeks working on a camp on Terschelling and unexpectedly made wonderful new friends.
